Hello Spa Lovers. We want your Homespunspa experience to be comfortable, pleasant and taylor-made to your needs. We hope this guide will help answer some of your questions about our mobile spa services and treatments.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: Reservations can be made by calling 1-250-812-3487 or by emailing or by clicking on the reservations page.
Q: What are your business hours?
A: Homespunspa estheticians and spa therapists are at your service on:
* Fridays: 9:00am to 6:00pm
* Saturdays: 10:00am to 6:00pm
* Sundays: 12:00pm to 6:00pm
* Statutory Holidays: 12:00pm to 6:00pm
If you wish to book a spa appointment outside of these hours or days, please contact us and we will make every effort to accomodate your needs.
* Appointment Times: Please remember to add 15 to 30 minutes extra to each appointment for set up and clean up as the appointment times listed are for services and treatments only.
Q: How does the Homespunspa refer a friend program work and is it true I get $5 for every customer I send your way?
A: Yes, it's true. If you know someone who might like Homespunspa and refer a friend who successfully books and completes a spa appointment with Homespunspa, you will receive a $5 cash reward.
Some conditions apply:
1) To receive your $5, it's easiest if you: A) make an appointment yourself with Homespunspa and pick up your cash reward in person, or B) have a PayPal account so we can transfer the money to you, (if, for example, you live out of town but refer someone you know in Victoria, BC to us).
2) The person you refer must complete and pay for a spa appointment with Homespunspa and not just inquire and not just book an appointment.
3) We need to know who referred whom at the time of booking. We'd like to know how the new customer found out about us so we can pay $5 to the right person for their thoughtfulness.
4) This offer does not include group appointments or home spa pajama parties.
5) In case 2 or more people refer the same person, than only 1 person will receive $5.
6) You can refer your friends to www.homespunspa.com through Facebook, Twitter, Email, Texting, through our Share and Add This buttons on the bottom of each page of our website, on your blog, on the phone, in person, on your podcast, etc., etc., etc.
7) Yes, you can refer yourself and receive $5 off your first spa treatment with Homespunspa.
8) A new customer cannot be referred more than once by the same person or by another person.
9) This offer is not open to companies or corporations or their employees that have been paid by Homespunspa for advertising services. However, if you see an advertisement and forward it to a friend, then that will work for you.
10) You can refer as many people to us as you want, we will still pay you $5 for each new successful customer's first appointment.
11) The $5 will only be given for the first appointment and not when the customer returns for subsequent visits.
12) Buying Homespunspa gift certificates for other people also count as referrals.
13) Buying a WaySpa gift certificate for someone else does not count as a referral.
14) You don't have to be an official Homespunspa customer, friend or family member to qualify.
15) Conditions may change without notice.
Q: Which geographical areas do you serve?
A: Homespunspa Mobile Spa Services currently serves the Greater Victoria area,
including: Brentwood Bay, Central Saanich, Colwood, downtown Victoria, Esquimalt, Highlands, James Bay, Langford, Metchosin, North Saanich, Oak Bay, Saanich, Saanichton, Sidney, Sooke, and View Royal.
Q: Do you offer any kind of free consultation appointments?
A: Yes. We offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discover your elemental nature and where you might be out of balance to assess which spa treatments and facials would be best for your needs. We can meet at the nearest cafe or in your home.
Q: What are your credentials?
A: Homespunspa estheticians are fully trained and certified and are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in our field.
Q: What's the difference between a Homespunspa home spa pajama party and a mobile spa service?
A: A Homespunspa home spa pajama party is for groups of people who want to enjoy the spa experience together. The spa appointments take place side by side so friends can visit with each other and each person can choose which mini services they want to have. On the other hand, we also offer mobile spa services to those who'd prefer to receive full-length spa treatments (like facials and pedi's) on a one to one basis in their own home.
Q: Can you accomodate large groups of people who want full-length mobile spa services at a home spa party?
A: Our mobile spa department has not been designed to accomodate large groups of spa-goers and we need to limit the size to 4 people.
Q: How much room do we need for a spa treatment in my home?
A: There should be enough room for us to set up a massage table and be able to walk around it without clutter. (80 square foot minimum).
Q: How much room do I need to host a Homespunspa home spa pajama party in my home?
A: We need a lot of elbow room. Each mini service is assigned to one esthetician and spa station and laying out the space can be challenging. During the party planning stages, a Homespunspa representative will come to your venue to determine which options will work best.
Q: What if I have pets?
A: While we love family pets, especially cats, we ask that you keep them away from the spa treatment areas for sanitary reasons.
Q: What if I'm pregnant?
Please let us know if you are pregnant when you book your appointments. Some spa services should be avoided during pregnancy, while others may be beneficial. We strongly suggest you talk to your doctor before receiving any spa service. No treatments will be offered to those in their first trimester.
Q: What if I have special health considerations?
A: Please notify us while booking your treatment if you have health concerns and conditions such as high blood pressure, allergies, cardiac conditions, or have any other physical ailments or disabilities. If you experience discomfort during the spa treatment, please alert your esthetician immediately.
Q: Should I shave before my spa appointment?
A1: You don't have to shave your legs before a massage or pedicure appointment.
A2: We recommend allowing several hours between shaving and receiving any service that involves an exfoliation step (like in body treatments, scrubs, or men's facial) to reduce the risk of skin irritation or discomfort.
Q: Can you issue a receipt to my health insurance plan for my massages?
A: We cannot issue receipts for relaxation massages because we currently do not have a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) on staff.
Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: Rest assured, your privacy is important to us. We will not share or sell our customer lists and we will not disclose or discuss any personal information with any outside party.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations affect us greatly. If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us by phone at 250-812-3487 at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.
Q: What if the weather is bad on my appointment day?
A: Sometimes the weather creates dangerous driving conditions and therefore we reserve the right to cancel appointments at the last minute for reasons of inclement weather. Appointments will be rebooked for the next most convenient time and date.
Q: How do I know if our appointment has been confirmed?
A: We will call and/or email you the day before your scheduled appointment to confirm. If you don't hear from us within a reasonable time, please contact us by phone at 250-812-3487 or email, just in case.
Q: What about payment for spa services?
A:We accept cash payments. We also accept payments by major credit cards through PayPal online.
Q: What about gratuities?
A: It's customary in the spa industry to tip your estheticians and therapists 15% of the service total for a job well done.
Q: Can I buy spa treatments for my kids?
A: Kids between the ages of 10 and 14 can receive spa treatments if a parent is nearby. It is not recommended for kids under the age of 9 to be in the spa area.
Q: What should I wear during my spa treatment?
A: To save time, please remove all jewellery before your appointment. Also, wear a bath robe and slippers, leaving your undergarments on or off, at the start of your appointment.

Q: Are gift certificates available at Homespunspa?
A1: Yes. Through our website, you may purchase Gift Certificates for either a specific dollar amount or for a particular service that we offer.
