Ewesletter Mar 03
cherry blossoms

The first day of spring is March 21 and in my neighbourhood, the cherry blossom trees are already starting to turn pink. I like to watch the petals swirl and somersault down the street on gusty days. If you like the fragrance of cherry, you might recall one of Niles Crane's favourite things about Daphne Moon in tv's Frasier. Niles is always quick to point out that Daphne's hair smells like Cherry Bark and Almond. Now you can discover what he sighs about by making your own version.

Daphne's Cherry Bark & Almond Shampoo

  • 1/2 cup baby shampoo
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 TB almond oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp (15-20 drops) cherry flavour
  • 1/4 tsp (15-20 drops) almond extract

Pour shampoo into a bowl and add water, almond oil and salt. Stir gently until the mixture thickens. Add cherry flavour and almond extract and pour in a fancy bottle.

March is a good time to send a carepackage to someone you like. My friend from high school and I have had a long standing tradition of sending each other carepackages (no doubt the seed behind Spa Caddies) and we consider the Ides of March the official, though highly flexible, deadline. So, in honour of 15-year traditions and the month of March, Homespunspa is offering a special Spa Caddy Gift Box called Gardenerís Hands for close friends who happen to live in different temperate zones.

Order today and you will receive:

  • 1 pair gardener's gloves
  • 1 Zama hand cream
  • 1 golden hand scrub
  • 1 vanilla lip balm
  • 1 flowery greeting card
  • 1 bottle of rosemary massage oil
  • 1 mini tin of Japanese Cherry Tea
  • 3 seed packets
  • 1 flower collecting basket

All for $50 CAD plus taxes and shipping — we ship anywhere. Or ask us about more Spa Caddy items and we'll create a customized Gift Box just for you and your friends.
